George’s inspiring journey is a testament to his unwavering determination and resilience. Despite facing academic challenges in high school, George overcame his struggles and went on to become a highly accomplished military veteran.

He proudly served his country with valor, completing three combat tours over three different decades, showcasing his exceptional bravery. As a hospital administrator, George excelled and was selected to coach corporate teams at the highest level. He shared strategies on how to increase productivity and improve efficiency.

George’s commitment to leadership and community shines brightly. He served as a Chief Operating Officer for his local church, bringing his organizational acumen to support the congregation.

After serving with distinction and receiving numerous awards and decorations, Lieutenant Colonel Walker retired from active duty after 26 years of service.

His desire to serve and help others continues to drive how he currently teaches high school JROTC in a title one school. He provides mentorship and career preparation to students outside of school.

ACHIEVEMENTS

  • Married to the same woman for 22 years, father of 5 daughters

  • Survived 3 combat tours (1989, 1991, 2006)

  • Retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel after starting as a private (Sept 2014)

  • Created a Clinical Review and Analysis and was asked to present it to the senior leaders at a regional conference. Presentation was a success and was presented an award. Fort Bragg / Liberty 2009, Womack Army Medical Center

  • Selected to coach, teach, and mentor senior leaders on the development of business plans to ensure objectives were met

  • Obtaining a master’s degree from Central Michigan University

  • Recommended for Teacher of the Year 2022 after teaching for 5 years

  • Selected to be the Chief of Staff for the largest free-standing health clinic in the Army, located in Hawaii. Schofield Barracks Hospital, 2011

  • Selected to present Clinic Review and Analysis during Comptroller Conference; received awards for outstanding presentation (2009, Pennsylvania)

  • Selected to present at Army Medical Department Strategic Planning Conference for excellent business acumen. Offered consulting job for AMEDD after retirement

  • Requested to be principal for Christian School in 2011 (Fayetteville, NC)

  • Requested to serve as Chief Operations Officer for Living The Word Ministries in 2013 (Hawaii)
